-Pretties save Tally from the fire.
- They put her in the machine.
-The Pretties (rangers) explain why they spread the fire.
- They let her go and she continues her journey.
Respond to the following quote: "...Tally was stuck out here in the wild forever. Ugly for life. Her only way home was to betray her friend."
When she first began her journey, she had her mind set on becoming pretty. The closer she gets to the Smoke, the more she realizes what she is doing to her friend.
