The Uglies they met in this chapter are similar to Tally at the beginning of the book. When you compare her to these Uglies, how has Tally changed and what has made her change?
Tally becomes more mature and finally realizes what goes on in her world. I believe the adventure of going to the Smoke and meeting the people who made the decision to run away and leave everything behind has changed her.
